The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) supports the implementation of the Indonesia Shopping Festival (ISF) on 8-19 August 2024. This support is an effort to increase purchasing power in shopping centres; support micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) products; and encourage the Proud of Indonesian Products (BBI) programme. ISF 2024 was initiated by the Indonesian Shopping Centre Management Association (APPBI) to celebrate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. ISF 2024 was held simultaneously in all shopping centres in Indonesia.

Deputy Chairman of Kadin for Trade, Juan P. Adoe, said ISF is expected to attract people to visit shopping centres, increase purchasing power, and absorb SME products.

‘We support ISF and the domestic product shopping programme as an effort to optimise the increase in the number of transactions in the retail sector and the number of visitors to shopping centres, so that it can have a positive impact on economic growth,’ said Juan at the ISF 2024 press conference, Tuesday (30/7) at the Ministry of Trade office, Jakarta.

The opening of ISF 2024 will be held at PIK Avenue, Jakarta, on 8 August 2024. Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan and Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono are scheduled to attend. Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono are scheduled to attend the event.

ISF 2024 will feature exhibitions of domestic products and MSMEs in all shopping centres, culinary festivals, fashion shows, and regional art performances. In addition, ISF will be filled with special discounts of up to 79% in line with the age of the Republic of Indonesia this year.
