Vice Chairman of Kadin for Public Works, Public Housing and Infrastructure Insannul Kamil opened the Jakarta Surface Show as well as being a guest speaker in a seminar discussing trends, prospects for building and property, towards an environmentally friendly future (6/6/2024). The special exhibition of marble, natural stone and coating materials Jakarta Surface Show was held at the Grand Ballroom JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
On that occasion, Insannul discussed five key points in green construction, in support of zero carbon emissions and a greener future. These include the use of sustainable building materials, optimal energy efficiency, wise waste management, healthy indoor air quality, and adaptation to environmental change.
“These measures are expected to be applied in various projects, so that buildings can be more environmentally friendly,” said Insannul.
At the Jakarta Surface Show, dozens of global marble and natural stone manufacturers participated by presenting the best products with different natural stone characteristics. Marble as a material in buildings and interiors has characteristics in terms of aesthetics and increases the value of buildings and properties.
In addition to Indonesia, Turkey and Italy, which are the best marble producing countries, the exhibition was also attended by various other countries such as Portugal, Brazil, India, Belgium, China, Vietnam. This event brought together participants with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, distributors in Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region to exchange ideas and inspire each other for better building innovations.
In addition, various designs and activities were held during the Jakarta Surface Show 2024, including Building and Property Business Forum, Roundtable with Interior Designers, Open Judging of My Jakartan Green Competition, Book Launching “45 Things About Landscape Trees You Need to Know” and a talk with digital marketing experts in building an online building material business.
The Jakarta Surface Show was supported by the Indonesian Ministry of PUPR, Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for PUPR and Infrastructure, Italian Trade Agency, Indonesian Institute of Architects - IAI, Indonesian Institute of Landscape Architects - IALI, and Indonesian Interior Designers Association - HDII.
