The DKI Jakarta Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) gave awards to corporations that have concern for the environment, during the Jakarta Kadin Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) IV 2023 at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, 21 November 2023.

The award, symbolised by a replica trembesi tree trophy, was handed over by Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono to five companies, namely Central Park Mall, Kota Kasablanka Mall, PT Indofood Bogasari Division, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, and PT Yamaha Motor Indonesia Manufacturing.

On that occasion, Heru expressed his appreciation to Kadin DKI Jakarta and the awardees who have contributed to realising Jakarta as a sustainable Global City.

"I ask entrepreneurs who are members of Kadin DKI Jakarta to participate in protecting the environment where they run their businesses," said Heru.

He also invited all entrepreneurs to continue to improve a greener Jakarta.

Chair of Kadin DKI Jakarta, Diana Dewi said the award was a form of support from Kadin DKI Jakarta to the government in order to solve environmental problems. In the judging process, Kadin collaborates with the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency.

According to Diana, preserving Jakarta is an integral part of business progress. "Attention to environmental and sustainability aspects is not only a matter of obligation to the earth, but also about long-term business sustainability," Diana explained.
