Kadin Indonesia and Kadin Aceh Showcase Halal Industry Products at Makkah Halal Forum

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and Kadin Aceh participated in the Makkah Halal Forum which was held at the Makkah Al-Mukarramah International Trade Centre, 23-25 January 2024.

"The Makkah Halal Forum event was attended by various Muslim countries so that the Central Kadin in collaboration with Kadin Aceh participated in displaying various halal food products including halal food typical of Aceh such as Socolate Pijay, Gayo Coffee and Meulinjo Bireun," said the Executive Board of Kadin Aceh, H. Zakaria A Gani, Sunday (28/1/2024).

Of the three typical Acehnese products on display, they also joined the Indonesian stand which was side by side with the stands of other Muslim countries such as Turkey, Azerbaizan, Malaysia and others.

"We should be proud that 60 per cent of the goods on display at the Indonesian booth are products from Aceh," he said.

On that occasion, Medical Cannabis Plantation Prospect In Aceh Province Indonesia introduced Arabica Gayo Peaberry Coffee produced by Sumatra Roastry.

According to Zakaria A Gani, the pride of being the world's largest Muslim country should be appreciated by the extraordinary Indonesian delegation with high enthusiasm under the command of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Tourism, Kadin and the Indonesian Muslim Saudagar Association led by Dr Azizah who is also the daughter of Vice President Makruf Amin.

"We should be proud that in this case 60 per cent of the goods on display at the Indonesian booth are products from Aceh," he said.

Zakaria A Gani added, this moment became a study so that Aceh became the centre of halal development in Indonesia. This is in line with the title Serambi Mekkah as well as Aceh's potential in developing halal tourism.

Indonesia, especially Aceh, is expected to continue to develop the halal industrial area which will become a producer centre for halal food for the Islamic world, both Arabia, India, China, Africa and Europe.

"So the potential of the halal industry in Aceh needs the support of the central government, because several main programmes such as the Aceh International Fishing Port in Lampulo, the Sabang Halal Tourism Centre, Maulana Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh Religious Tourism to the Malahayati Krueng Raya Halal Industrial Zone in Aceh Besar and others need to be reviewed," he said.
