Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), in collaboration with the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) and the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), officially launched the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) and Indonesia Procurement Forum & Expo (IPFE) 2025 under the theme "Procurement Digitalization for a Golden Indonesia: Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainability", taking place from July 30 to August 1, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
This event serves as a strategic platform to accelerate the transformation of the national procurement system towards a more efficient, inclusive, and digital-based ecosystem.
Erwin Aksa, Vice Chairman for Organization, Communication, and Regional Empowerment at Kadin Indonesia, highlighted the vital role of procurement digitalization as a key instrument in driving national economic growth.
He emphasized that an open and fair procurement system must accommodate participation from all business sectors, ranging from MSMEs to large industries.
“This is where our major opportunity lies to build a system that is not only efficient and transparent but also inclusive, affordable, and sustainable. A system that can support our collective vision for a Golden Indonesia 2045,” Erwin said in his remarks at the ICEF-IPFE 2025 Opening Ceremony on Wednesday (30/07/2025).
Erwin also welcomed the various talk shows featured at ICEF-IPFE 2025, which focus on integrating digital platforms as a foundation for improving efficiency, national competitiveness, and expanding MSME and cooperative participation through affirmative policies in electronic catalog access.
He further stated that Kadin Indonesia continues to push forward various strategic initiatives aimed at elevating MSMEs and facilitating the expansion of national companies into global markets.
These initiatives include support for government priority programs such as free meals, housing improvements, free medical checkups, migrant worker empowerment, and cooperative strengthening.
“Capacity building is the key. We must foster a culture of continuous learning so businesses can become more adaptive and resilient in the face of national and global economic dynamics,” Erwin added.
“To that end, Kadin has established the Kadin Indonesia Institute as a center for training, research, and data development to produce more competitive entrepreneurs, including in areas like cybersecurity,” he said.
Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono, Kadin Vice Chairman for Regional Empowerment and Chair of the ICEF-IPFE 2025 Organizing Committee, affirmed Kadin’s commitment to being part of the solution especially through the creation of digital-based job opportunities and stronger business networks.
“Kadin is fully committed to being part of the solution. One such solution is creating job opportunities. Through the e-catalog and this expo, we want to show that many employment opportunities can emerge. Participants can also gain new insights and experiences through business forums and peer networking,” Kukrit said.
Okto Iriyanto, Expert Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, emphasized that key programs of the “Red and White Cabinet”—such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) initiative, People’s Schools, digital education, and the construction of 3 million houses—are closely tied to transparent and integrated procurement systems.
“That’s why today’s event is crucial—not only for the government but also for the wider public—to ensure the effective implementation of these programs,” said Okto.
LKPP Head Hendrar Prihadi also stressed the importance of this forum in advancing the role of MSMEs and local suppliers in the government’s digital procurement ecosystem.
He described ICEF-IPFE 2025 as a collaborative space for addressing challenges while maximizing the potential of procurement digitalization to support more inclusive economic growth.
“ICEF-IPFE 2025 is a vital forum to expand the contribution of MSMEs and local vendors to the national procurement system. It is a shared opportunity to foster efficiency, transparency, and equity in Indonesia’s procurement landscape,” Hendrar stated.
Over the course of three days (July 30 – August 1, 2025), ICEF-IPFE 2025 will feature a series of programs, including business matching, technical workshops, procurement training, and professional certification sessions.
