Chairman of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Bobby Lianto introduced the economic potentials in NTT, and invited Taiwanese investors to invest in NTT.

This was conveyed during his meeting with the Director General of TETO (Taipei Economic & Trade Office in Surabaya) Isaac Chiu and Director of Division TETO Surabaya Su Yu Ping and Secretary Director-General Henny Wu in Kupang, Monday (9/9/2024). During this meeting Bobby Lianto was accompanied by the Executive Director of Kadin NTT Mercy Siubelan and the Chairperson of the ESCS (Excellent Spirit Christian School) Foundation Yuliana Nesia Angelina.

Bobby also conveyed several MSME products assisted by Kadin NTT with a very large number of products that have the potential to be exported such as Ghaura Chocolate, La Moriga, several brands of Coffee, Malada Soy Sauce, Amfoang Honey and also other products.

On the same occasion, Yuliana Nesia Angelina as the Chairperson of the Foundation of ESCS, a school with an international curriculum in Kupang, also conveyed opportunities for cooperation in the field of education.

‘The interest of school children to be fluent in Mandarin is quite high. We are asking for support in supporting Mandarin language teachers and cooperation and scholarships,’ said Yuliana.

In response, Isaac Chiu said that Taiwan itself has a large number of scholarships or support scholarships to Indonesia and will begin to be followed up with a visit to the ESCS school to explore cooperation with Taiwan through TETO.
