The West Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) seeks to advance its regional tourism sector through the production of the "Tujuh Senja" movie which takes place against the backdrop of the natural beauty of Kaimana Regency.

Chair of Kadin West Papua, Suriyati, revealed that the movie is part of Kadin's efforts to improve the regional economy through the tourism sector.

"Through this movie, we want to introduce the natural beauty of Kaimana to the whole of Indonesia, even the world," said Suriyati (6/8/2024).

According to her, Kadin strongly supports the production of this movie because it is in line with efforts to increase regional income.

"Kadin Indonesia has a high concern for the development of creative industries, including movie. We hope that 'Tujuh Senja' movie can be an example for other regions in promoting tourist destinations through works of art," he added.

'Tujuh Senja' not only promotes the natural beauty of Kaimana, but also provides opportunities for local artists to work.

Suriyati hopes that this movie can be a trigger for the growth of the cinema industry in West Papua.

"This movie is expected to provide enthusiasm and encouragement in exploring the potential of local artists, to work in the cinema sector," she said.
