Banda Aceh - The Aceh Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, held a Public Communication Forum titled “Finance Professions: Growing Your Business with Reliable and Trustworthy Financial Statements” at the State Finance Building (GKN) in Banda Aceh on Friday, October 17, 2025.
This event is part of a national program initiated by the Ministry of Finance and has been implemented in various provinces across Indonesia.
Its aim is to educate and raise awareness among business actors on how to prepare financial statements in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards (SAK), and to promote the use of financial reports as a strategic tool to access financing, investment, and business partnerships.
Iqbal Idris, Vice Chairman for Finance, Facilities, and Infrastructure at the Aceh Provincial Kadin, emphasized that reliable financial reporting is a crucial prerequisite for sustainable business growth.
"Many MSMEs in Aceh have great potential, but they still struggle to access financing due to non-standard financial reports. Through this forum, we want to help business owners understand that financial reporting is not merely an administrative obligation, but a strategic instrument to build trust,” Iqbal said.
He added that Kadin Aceh is committed to being an active partner to the government and financial institutions in strengthening the financial management capacity of business actors, especially MSMEs.
Meanwhile, Teuku Jailani, Executive Director of Kadin Aceh, stated that the event aligns with Kadin’s vision to strengthen the capacity of local businesses so they can compete in both national and global markets.
"We want Aceh to be recognized not only for its natural resources but also for its professional business governance (Good Corporate Governance). Transparent and inclusive financial reporting will enhance the bargaining position of entrepreneurs and open the door to greater investment,” he said.
The forum served as a platform for synergy between the government, financial professional organizations, associations, and the business community to improve financial literacy in the region.
Topics discussed included preparing financial statements based on SAK, the importance of audits for business transparency, and the potential of digitalizing financial records for MSMEs.
