Banda Aceh - Muhammad Iqbal Piyeung, Chairman of the Aceh Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), received an official visit from Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Md Tarikul Islam, at the Kadin Aceh office in Banda Aceh on Friday (23/10/2025).

The visit focused on exploring investment cooperation opportunities, particularly in Aceh’s natural resource processing sector. During the exclusive meeting, both parties discussed potential collaborations between Acehnese and Bangladeshi business communities.

Chairman Muhammad Iqbal Piyeung emphasized that Aceh is rich in natural resources but requires investment partners with long-term commitment and expertise.

“Aceh is not only abundant in natural resources, but what we need now are investors who truly have the capital, skills, and vision to manage this potential in a modern and sustainable way,” Iqbal stated.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Ambassador to Indonesia Md Tarikul Islam highlighted several sectoral economic opportunities in his country that could be developed in partnership with Acehnese entrepreneurs.

“We will engage Bangladeshi businesses to follow up and explore investment opportunities in Aceh in greater detail,” Ambassador Tarikul Islam said.

During the visit, Kadin Aceh also presented several investment cooperation schemes, particularly in modern agricultural technology, aimed at producing high-quality regional products.

Through this visit, Kadin Aceh hopes to pave the way for strategic collaboration between Aceh and Bangladesh, while strengthening Aceh’s position as an economic growth center ready to face global challenges.
