Palembang – The South Sumatra Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a coordination meeting on the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program at the Kadin South Sumatra Office in Palembang on Monday, July 14, 2025.
This meeting served as a vital forum to align visions, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce readiness for the rollout of the MBG program across South Sumatra.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Kadin South Sumatra, Affandi Udji, the Gotong Royong MBG Task Force, members of Kadin South Sumatra’s leadership, representatives from 16 foundations, and 61 partner kitchens or Nutrition Service Fulfillment Units (SPPG) under Kadin South Sumatra’s guidance.
In his remarks, Chairman Affandi Udji emphasized Kadin’s full commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the 61 MBG SPPG units, provided that all participating kitchens meet the required standards and criteria.
“The Free Nutritious Meal Program is a mandate from President Prabowo Subianto. Kadin South Sumatra is committed to carrying out this responsibility with the utmost integrity. Every kitchen must comply with the standards set by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), and most importantly, we must uphold the good name of Kadin. This program is built on public trust, and we must protect that together,” said Affandi.
The coordination meeting also followed up on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kadin Indonesia and the National Nutrition Agency, which targets the establishment of 1,000 MBG kitchens nationwide. In this context, South Sumatra has emerged as one of the most proactive provinces, demonstrating strong readiness to fulfill this national mandate.
To ensure effective implementation, Kadin South Sumatra continues to maintain close coordination with Kadin Indonesia, particularly with Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, to receive strategic guidance and support for strengthening MBG execution at the regional level.
Through this coordination meeting, Kadin South Sumatra hopes that all foundations and kitchen partners will work collectively, complementing one another to ensure the MBG program is effective, well-targeted, and sustainable contributing to a healthier and stronger future generation of Indonesia.
