Kadin Emphasizes ISF 2025 as a Platform for Indonesia’s Green Investment

Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), held a Coordination Meeting for the preparation of the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (October 1, 2025).

The meeting was attended by Bobby Gafur Umar, Vice Chairman Coordinator for Investment, Downstreaming, Energy, and Environment at Kadin Indonesia, representing Kadin Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie; Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (Coordinating Minister AHY), Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Indonesia; Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Chairman of BKPM; and Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the occasion, Bobby Gafur Umar emphasized that ISF 2025 would serve as a strategic platform to showcase Indonesia’s vast potential in sustainable business and the green economy.

“Sustainable business and the green economy are not only about energy, but also about transportation, livable green zones, green industries, and many other sectors. This is the future of business, which will grow significantly,” Bobby stated during a media doorstop session.

He cited investment potential in the electricity sector, as outlined in the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL).

“Private sector investment could reach up to IDR 1,500 trillion, with 76 percent of electricity demand over the next ten years directed toward renewable energy,” he explained.

Furthermore, Bobby revealed that Kadin is currently collaborating with 29 chambers of commerce worldwide, along with various bilateral committees.

“We hope that ISF 2025 will not only succeed as an event but also truly generate tangible investments into Indonesia,” he added.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister AHY stated that, from the perspective of infrastructure and regional development, the government is committed to supporting and encouraging the broader use of environmentally friendly technologies and innovations.

“If integrated effectively, this can open up new job opportunities while addressing future challenges,” said Minister AHY.

Additionally, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Chairman of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, noted that ISF 2025 is not merely a discussion forum but a stage for Indonesia to demonstrate global leadership in downstreaming, renewable energy, and the green economy.

“This event will also showcase strategic projects we are offering, with the expectation that it will lead to concrete partnerships with real, long-term impacts for future generations,” he said.
