Kadin Receives 13 French CEOs, Explores Opportunities for Economic Co-operation

Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid received a visit from 13 CEOs (Chief Executives) of French companies who are members of the Trade Advisory Council of France (Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur/CCE) and 4 delegates from the French embassy in Jakarta to explore opportunities for cooperation in order to strengthen bilateral relations and advance the economies of the two countries (20/6/2024).

The CCE is formed by members elected and appointed by the Prime Minister's Office. The council has been established for 150 years and was formed to advise and assist the embassy in trade matters. It is made up of successful entrepreneurs and top executives from major French companies. It consists of 26 members elected for a three-year term and a council of five members.

On this occasion, the French delegation exchanged information about the challenges and opportunities faced by French companies in Indonesia. This will be an input for Kadin Indonesia in providing advice to the government to advance the economic cooperation that has been established and developed since 1950.

The list of French delegates led by CCE Chairman Mathieu Lavoine included Philippe Augier, Nicolas Parrot, Olivier Rabourdin, Ludovic Bouvier, Bruno Faour, Marc Steinmeyer, Geoffrey Meyssonnier, Michel Arzac, Jacques Rebaudo, Olivier Guinot, Margot De Groot, Pierre Battu. Meanwhile, 4 delegates from the French Embassy included Michel Odenbourg, Laurent Legodec, Sylvain Briar, and Renata Suyono.

The delegates came from various business sectors, such as shipping, hospitality, banking, nickel mining, aviation, renewable energy, taxation, tourism, communications, and cosmetics.
