Kadin Usulkan Kolaborasi dengan ITPC untuk Perluas Promosi Produk Indonesia

Jakarta – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) is promoting national export growth by strengthening trade cooperation and expanding access to global markets. These efforts aim to increase foreign exchange earnings while creating greater opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to enter international markets.

This was stated by Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie following a meeting with Indonesia’s Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, at the Ministry of Trade’s office in Central Jakarta on Thursday (October 22, 2026).

Anindya, popularly known as Anin, explained that Kadin is focused on increasing Indonesia’s exports. According to him, export growth can directly contribute to the country’s foreign exchange earnings while supporting national economic growth.

“As we know, our exports amount to around US$300 billion, and every 5 to 10 percent increase in growth can directly generate foreign exchange earnings for Indonesia,” Anin said.

Anin said Kadin aims to strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Trade to boost trade and increase business participation in export activities. He emphasized that export development should involve MSMEs, which have long been part of international trade supply chains.

Anin cited several examples of domestic businesses that have successfully entered overseas markets. One example is a business group in Palembang that has achieved substantial sales in the Netherlands. In addition, coffee products marketed through Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) have successfully reached the United States market.

Anin also noted that TEI 2026 recorded potential transactions worth US$22.8 billion within one week. This achievement presents an opportunity to further expand the global reach of Indonesian products.

“We remain focused on increasing trade because strong trade will certainly attract investment and help sustain industrialization,” Anin said.

Furthermore, Kadin is encouraging greater use of Indonesia’s overseas trade promotion network through Indonesia Trade Promotion Centers (ITPCs). Anin believes that collaboration with ITPCs can help introduce more Indonesian products to prospective international buyers.

According to Anin, export promotion should directly involve business players to ensure that the products offered meet market demand. The government plays a supporting role by facilitating access and trade cooperation, while businesses are responsible for carrying out export transactions.

Anin added that Kadin is also encouraging the optimization of existing and developing trade cooperation agreements, including those with the European Union market. This approach is considered important for expanding Indonesia’s export opportunities amid evolving global geopolitical dynamics.

“If Kadin can collaborate with ITPCs, we can promote more products directly, representing the voices of the business community and the business players themselves,” Anin explained.

Also in attendance were M. Azis Syamsuddin, Coordinating Vice Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for Legal Affairs and Human Rights, and Infrastructure; Rico Rustombi, Vice Chairman for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs); and Adisatrya Sulisto, Head of Kadin Indonesia’s Legislative Relations Agency.
