The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Bogor Regency held a cheap market in the yard of the Chamber's office on Monday (25/3/2024). Chairman of Kadin Bogor Regency Sintha Dec Checawati revealed that this activity is proof of Kadin's commitment with the Bogor Regency Government to control the regional inflation rate. This cheap market was really carried out by providing prices below market prices.

"Similar activities are not only carried out by Kadin today, several times before we were present in the markets to carry out the same operation. This cheap market activity will continue to be carried out by the Bogor Regional Government, while today is scheduled by Kadin Bogor Regency," he said.

Pj Bupati Bogor Asmawa Tosepu appreciated the efforts made by Kadin Bogor Regency. According to him, in order to control inflation in Bogor Regency, the Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) coordinates with all stakeholders, one of which is the Bogor Regency Kadin, to organise cheap market activities.

"I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Kadin Bogor Regency and all levels that have synergised with the government to ensure the availability of basic needs in Bogor Regency," said Asmawa.

Asmawa said that the government provides assurance to the community that food stocks in Bogor Regency are available for the next three months.

In addition to the cheap market activities, Asmawa continued, there will be inspections to distributors to ensure there is no hoarding of basic necessities.

"In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, to all regional heads in Indonesia to take steps to control inflation. In Bogor Regency we carry out several activities such as cheap markets, inspections to markets and distributors, chilli planting movements, enforcement of regulations, and so on," said Asmawa.
