Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Arsjad Rasjid inaugurated the management of the Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs Association (HIPPI) 2024 - 2029 under the leadership of Ariful Waqin Hidayat, at the Sapta Pesona Building of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/20/2024).

The Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs Association is one of the extraordinary members of Kadin Indonesia which has been established since August 17, 1976 which functions as an integrated information, consulting and advocacy center on matters relating to the national economy, all national and global economic activities in order to realize a business climate and synergy of national economic potential in favor of MSME entrepreneurs.

HIPPI has spread in every province throughout Indonesia and HIPPI members amount to 10 thousand members.

Arsjad Rasjid said 98 percent of Indonesian entrepreneurs are MSMEs and 90 percent of these MSMEs are at the micro level whose income is less than Rp20 million per year or less than Rp2 million per month.

"This is our homework to raise the level of entrepreneurs from micro to small and small to medium entrepreneurs," said Arsjad.

Arsjad emphasized to HIPPI administrators to be active in national economic growth.

"The national economy must grow 6-8 percent so that Indonesia becomes the third largest economy in the world," he said.
