Binjai, North Sumatra – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, accompanied by Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Sultan B. Najmudin, inaugurated the Nutritional Service Unit (SPPG) for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Gotong Royong Kadin program in Binjai on Monday, October 13, 2025.
This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between Kadin Indonesia, the government, and the Asia Nusantara Nutrition Foundation to support the MBG program, one of the priority programs of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration.
During the event, Anin Kadin’s familiar nickname, personally observed the SPPG operations, which serve as a central hub for providing nutritious meals to elementary school children in Binjai.
Anin expressed appreciation for the spirit of collaboration demonstrated by local government, businesses, and social foundations participating in the program.
“Kadin Indonesia is committed to expanding the reach of SPPG kitchens across the country. Our target is to establish over 1,000 kitchens nationwide, as a tangible contribution from the business community to improve the nutrition of the younger generation,” Anin said.
He also presented awards to the Asia Nusantara Nutrition Foundation and local partners for their dedicated efforts in implementing the program.
Anin emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy to ensure the program’s benefits are felt widely.
“Collaboration between the business sector and the government is key. We hope these SPPG kitchens bring blessings, safeguard the health of our children, and represent a concrete step toward equitable national nutrition,” Anin concluded.
