Preserving the environment is the responsibility of all parties. As a form of commitment in preserving the environment, entrepreneurs who are members of the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) donated 1,000 trees.

"Maintaining environmental sustainability is the responsibility of all of us. This commitment must be supported by all parties, including entrepreneurs," said Jakarta Kadin Chairperson Diana Dewi, in a press statement, in Jakarta, Sunday (3/3/2024).

According to her, by planting many trees in a number of places in addition to reducing air pollution, it can also provide coolness and make the air cleaner, and help minimise flooding.

The DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) participated in donating tree seeds that were planted in Jaticimel Park, which was inaugurated by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, last Friday (23/2/2024).

Jaticimel Park, located in RW 09 Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Subdistrict, East Jakarta, has an area of 5,322 square metres, and began construction in May 2023. A number of facilities complement the existence of the park, including a children's playground, reading room, multifunctional field, pedestrian area, guard post, toilet, viewing deck, and parking area.

Diana hopes that local residents can maintain the beauty of the park and take care of the trees planted there. "Let us together take care of the environment by maintaining cleanliness, one of which is by not littering," said the CEO of PT Suri Nusantara Jaya.

Previously, Kadin DKI also planted trees at the Jagakarsa Reservoir with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. In that place, 50 tabebuya trees were planted and 10,000 fish were spread in the reservoir.

"Kadin DKI continues to promote efforts to protect and preserve the environment. We invite all entrepreneurs in Jakarta to be directly involved, starting from maintaining cleanliness and beauty in their respective work environments to being significantly involved in greening Jakarta," he exclaimed.
