Kadin NTT Encourages Singapore-Malaysia Direct Flight Routes to Labuan Bajo

Chairman Kadin of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Bobby Lianto started the New Year 2024 with visits to various Indonesian Embassies. In a meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador in Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, Lianto requested the Embassy's support to promote NTT's potential and bring in investors.

Lianto highlighted the innovations of Kadin NTT and focused on two important things, namely trying to get NTT MSME products into Singapore as a door to the international scene, and asking for the Embassy's support to bring investors to NTT.

"The island province of NTT with potential in fisheries, marine, tourism, agriculture, and livestock, is an attraction for investment. We also encourage the opening of direct flight routes from Singapore and Malaysia to Labuan Bajo," Lianto said in a press statement (2/1/2024).

In response, the Indonesian Ambassador in Singapore provided full support and direction through the "10 New Bali" book as a promotional tool, and offered strategic facilities at the Indonesian Embassy to promote NTT.

Lianto hopes that the cooperation between Kadin, the embassy, the government, and the NTT provincial government can finalise the investment with the support of infrastructure and licensing.

According to Lianto, Singapore, as the largest investor, is the focus of promotion with an estimated investment increase from previous years. The meeting with the Singapore Chamber of Commerce Committee and CEO Bisa Connect is expected to open opportunities for product promotion and cooperation with NTT banks to advance NTT MSMEs in the international market.
