Jakarta – Leaders of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) from all 38 provinces attended a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (July 31, 2026).

The meeting served as a dialogue forum between the government and the business community to discuss the direction of Indonesia's national economic policies, investment, regulatory reforms, and stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Beginning at around 2:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the Presidential Palace complex saw the arrival of vehicles carrying Kadin leaders from across the country. They attended the meeting at President Prabowo's invitation to engage in direct discussions on the challenges and opportunities facing the Indonesian economy.

The meeting was marked by the presence of Kadin officials dressed in white shirts bearing the organization's logo.

Unlike a typical ceremonial gathering, the meeting was conducted in an open and interactive dialogue. Government officials and business leaders exchanged views on Indonesia's economic challenges while discussing strategic measures to strengthen the investment climate and accelerate economic growth.

Vice Chairman for the Kalimantan Region of Kadin Indonesia, Andi Yuslim Patawari, said one of President Prabowo's key directives was to institutionalize regular communication between the government and the business community.

"We discussed a wide range of issues. The President asked Kadin Indonesia to hold discussions like this every three months. Going forward, we will also have more focused discussions on specific issues," Andi Yuslim Patawari said on Saturday (August 1, 2026).

According to Patawari, who is widely known by his initials AYP, the President's directive reflects the government's commitment to fostering more open communication with the private sector.

As a result, economic policies are expected not only to be communicated after they are finalized, but also to be discussed with business stakeholders during the policy formulation process.

"This demonstrates the President's commitment to transparency and information-sharing with the business community. His message is about building Indonesia Incorporated. We must create synergy with large businesses to strengthen a collaborative, mutually supportive economy across all sectors," he said.

During the meeting, the concept of Indonesia Incorporated emerged as one of President Prabowo's central ideas. The concept positions the government, the private sector, and society as strategic partners working toward a common objective to enhance Indonesia's national competitiveness.

AYP said the concept carries practical implications for the business community. According to him, the President envisions large corporations not only expanding their own businesses but also serving as catalysts for the growth of medium-sized enterprises, which in turn will help accelerate the development of small businesses and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"Most importantly, we reached a shared commitment to support Indonesia Incorporated. The idea is for large businesses to empower medium-sized businesses, and for medium-sized businesses to help develop smaller enterprises," he said.

He expressed hope that the commitment to establish regular dialogue between the government and the business community would become an important first step toward strengthening collaboration to boost investment, accelerate economic growth, and realize inclusive and sustainable national development.
