Kadin Indonesia, through the Kadin Committee for Law and Human Rights, held a socialisation with the theme "The Impact of the Implementation of PP 58 and PMK 168 on Employers and Employees" which was held on 21 February 2024.

This socialisation was held in connection with the issuance of Government Regulation No. 58 of 2023 concerning Withholding Rates and Imposition of Income Tax Article 21 on Income in Connection with Work, Services, or Activities of Individual Taxpayers (PP 58) and Minister of Finance Regulation No. 168 of 2023 concerning Implementation Guidelines for Tax Withholding on Income in Connection with Work, Services, or Activities of Individuals (PMK 168), which has been in effect since 1 January 2024.

The purpose of PP 58 and PMK 168 is to simplify the calculation method for Income Tax Article 21 withholding by using the Effective Rate Table (TER) to realise an effective, efficient, and accountable tax administration system that can encourage voluntary compliance.
