The West Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a provincial meeting (Musprov) to elect its chairman for the 2024-2029 period. At the Musprov which was held at Aston Niu Hotel Manokwari, Wednesday (26/6/2024).
After the Musprov, the formature team will compile the new management of the West Papua Chamber of Commerce and formulate work programmes and activities for the next five years.
The elected Chairman of Kadin West Papua, Suriyati Faisal, thanked all those who have supported him and committed to collaborating with the government, business actors and other stakeholders in developing the regional economy.
Suriyati invited stakeholders to realise and develop the various superior potentials of each region in West Papua with a collaborative and adaptive commitment.
‘I am sure the economy and business in West Papua and its surroundings will grow and people's welfare will also increase,’ she said.
Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid in his speech emphasised the importance of this Muprov as a momentum to develop strategies that can adapt to future challenges.
Arsjad said Kadin Indonesia, through its four main pillars, is committed to supporting economic recovery and regional development.
In line with that, Kadin West Papua is expected to be a catalyst in accelerating the economy of West Papua so that it can continue to improve an inclusive and sustainable regional economy.
"National economic stability and the welfare of the Indonesian people are Kadin's priorities. We must continue to encourage the improvement of ease of doing business, optimise the capacity of national and regional entrepreneurs, and encourage a conducive climate for investment,’ Arsjad said.
Closing his remarks, Arsjad expressed his gratitude to all levels of the West Papua Provincial Kadin management who have provided their services and dedication for the progress of the West Papua Kadin.
