The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) once again facilitated batch 4 of apprenticeship programme to Japan for students. This is in line with the implementation of Presidential Regulation No 68 of 2022 on the Revitalisation of Vocational Education and Vocational Training.
The internship programme aims to improve and expand students' skills, so that they can find suitable jobs and optimise their talents.
Acting Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi told the parents to send off the students as part of the process towards Indonesia Emas 2045. This programme needs to be supported and continued because Indonesia's human resources must be continuously improved.
"The spirit is entrusted to the students to continue learning. Japan's success is achieved because of hard work and this value should be emulated by students," Yukki said at the 4th Batch Apprenticeship Programme Student Release event, at Menara Kadin Indonesia, Tuesday (19/3/2024).
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for Vocational and Certification, Adi Mahfudz Wuhadji said that internships to Japan should not be aimed at making money but should learn to strengthen character and find identity.
"Basically, success is a choice and accumulation of hard work," he said on Tuesday (19/3/2024).
According to him, Japan has a high work ethic, discipline, and hygiene ethics.
Warsito, Deputy for Education Quality Improvement and Religious Moderation at the Coordinating Ministry for PMK, appreciated and welcomed the internship programme.
"The internship programme is believed to improve human resources," he explained.
Warsito said that support from many parties is needed to build quality human resources. This internship experience is very important for students as a form of accelerating the improvement of human resources in the transition period towards Advanced Indonesia.
"Students are expected to learn from the work culture in Japan, especially in shaping the mindset of the importance of process and quality. Selected students are expected to make the best use of this opportunity, enjoying the learning process without leaving the main obligation," he concluded.
Besides being attended by Kadin leaders, the event was attended by the Deputy for Education Quality Improvement and Diverse Moderation of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK, Chairperson of the Association of Overseas Apprenticeship Organisers (AP2LN), Vice Rector of the Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics (ITL), Chairperson of the Japanese Language Study Program at Yapari College of Foreign Languages (STBA), Director of the Directorate of Student Affairs of the University of Indonesia Education (UPI), Dean of the Faculty of Language and Arts of Surabaya State University (UNESA), Rector of Nusa Putra University, Representatives of Brawijaya University and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah.
