ICEF-IPFE 2026 Launched, Kadin Pushes to Strengthen the National Procurement Ecosystem to Support Investment

Jakarta – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), together with the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) and the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), officially launched the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) in conjunction with the Indonesia Procurement Forum & Expo (IPFE) 2026 at the LKPP Building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (March 11, 2026).

Carrying the theme “From Digitalization to Modern Procurement: Data-Driven Transformation for Golden Indonesia,” ICEF–IPFE 2026 will be held on July 29–31, 2026 at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran in Jakarta.

Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, said strengthening the national procurement ecosystem plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency of government spending while also supporting national economic growth.

“This is where we see the enormous added value of LKPP. If I’m not mistaken, the figure reaches around a thousand trillion rupiah annually—Rp1,500 trillion this year—and about 70 percent of government spending, both central and regional, uses this platform,” said Anindya, who is widely known as Anin.

According to Anin, the scale of these transactions makes the government procurement platform one of the largest supply chain ecosystems in the country. He added that a transparent and efficient procurement system is also frequently highlighted during Indonesia’s economic diplomacy engagements abroad.

“I can say that during economic diplomacy visits overseas—both during the presidency of Prabowo Subianto, which I witnessed myself, and previously under Joko Widodo—this issue has always been strongly emphasized,” Anin said.

He added that a well-managed procurement system can support the government’s efforts to attract investment, expand trade, and increase market confidence in the national economy.

“If we are efficient and rigorous in the selection process, while also focusing on TKDN (Domestic Component Level)—which I hear already accounts for 90 percent—and ensuring that 40 percent involves MSMEs, I think that can already be considered quite comprehensive,” Anin explained.

On the other hand, Anin stressed that the business sector continues to push for higher national economic growth.

“Five percent, six percent, seven percent—even eight percent,” he said.

Anin also referred to the spike in global oil prices, which had briefly reached US$130 per barrel before declining again.

“Fortunately, it has come down, though it is still relatively high at around US$80 per barrel. But we know that for every US$10 increase above the US$70 assumption, it could add roughly Rp100 trillion to the deficit,” he noted.

According to him, this situation must be closely monitored due to the potential pressure it could place on the state’s fiscal position.

“However, I see that the government is moving quickly and seeking ways to improve efficiency across various sectors,” he added.

In closing, Anin expressed appreciation to all stakeholders involved in strengthening Indonesia’s procurement ecosystem.

“To IAPI and all partners who continue to support this initiative so that our shared good intentions can move forward and bring real impact to the economy,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Head of LKPP, Sarah Sadiqa, said the launch marks the first step toward a larger event later this year.

“This is the launching of a bigger event—an exhibition that will also serve as a meeting point, not just an exhibition but a platform for interaction and education between our national business actors and the government, facilitated by Kadin, IAPI, and of course LKPP,” she said.

Sarah expressed hope that the forum will create broader interaction between the government as the buyer and national business actors as suppliers of goods and services.

“We expect active participation from national business players to help meet the needs of the government,” she added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of IAPI, Andi Zabur Rahman, emphasized the importance of promoting procurement policies that are genuinely needs-based while also opening opportunities for domestic businesses.

“From Kadin’s side, since it represents business associations and MSMEs, this opportunity can be utilized—especially considering the enormous value of Rp1,500 trillion,” he said.

He expressed hope that the large opportunities within government procurement could be maximized by national business actors, thereby increasing the use of domestic products.

As part of the event, a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was also signed between IAPI and Diponegoro University (UNDIP), covering the development of education and research in the field of public procurement as well as a master’s program concentration in procurement management.

ICEF-IPFE 2026 is designed as a strategic platform that brings together the government, business actors, and stakeholders within Indonesia’s public procurement ecosystem.

In addition to exhibition participants from various industrial sectors, the event is expected to attract around 15,000 visitors, including heads of government institutions such as Budget Users (PA), Budget User Proxies (KPA), Commitment-Making Officers (PPK), Procurement Officials (PP), and Procurement Units (UKPBJ).

The event will also involve representatives from regional government organizations, including the Association of Indonesian Provincial Governments (APPSI) and the Association of Indonesian Municipal Governments (APEKSI).

By bringing together various ministries, government agencies, regional governments, state-owned enterprises, and thousands of business actors across multiple industries, ICEF-IPFE 2026 is projected to become one of the key agendas in strengthening the national procurement ecosystem while also encouraging economic growth through the utilization of the government procurement market.

Also attending the launch were Kadin Indonesia Vice Chair for Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Vice Chair for Regional Empowerment and Chair of the ICEF-IPFE 2026 Organizing Committee Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono, and Vice Chair for the Kalimantan Region Andi Yuslim Patawari.
