Anindya Bakrie Lantik Jajaran Pengurus Kadin Bali, Dorong Pulau Dewata Jadi “Green Island” Berbasis Energi Bersih

Denpasar – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, officially inaugurated and confirmed the Chairman of Kadin Bali Province, I Made Ariandi, along with the board members for the 2025–2030 term. The ceremony took place at the Art Center in Denpasar, Bali, on Saturday (April 25, 2026).

In his remarks, Anindya Novyan Bakrie emphasized the importance of maintaining Bali’s image, particularly in media coverage, both nationally and internationally. Anin, as he is commonly known, noted that information circulating in the public domain has a significant impact on tourists’ perceptions.

“Small news can become big. Issues related to tourism maps, comfort, and security must be safeguarded together. Kadin Indonesia will also advocate for maintaining the quality of information, including coordinating with the government,” he said.

He further highlighted the need for special attention to the tourism sector amid indications of a decline in domestic tourists, which is believed to be influenced by rising airfare prices. However, he noted that tourist movement via land routes remains relatively stable.

Anin also expressed appreciation for the Bali Provincial Government’s efforts to promote economic diversification—not relying solely on tourism, but also developing the agricultural sector and green economy. He said Bali has the potential to become a “green island,” or an island based on clean energy.

“The concept of a net-zero island is highly relevant. Programs such as waste-to-energy, electric vehicles, and fiscal policies supporting clean energy show that Bali is very progressive,” Anin said.

According to him, Bali’s tourism strength must continue to be preserved as a leading sector that significantly contributes to the national economy.

“Tourism is an export that does not need to be shipped abroad, because the asset is here,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Kadin Bali Province, I Made Ariandi, stressed that future challenges will become increasingly complex, requiring stronger collaboration.

He noted that Kadin Bali has now brought together nearly all economic stakeholders under one umbrella, ranging from agriculture, plantations, infrastructure, and electricity to the digital economy and renewable energy sectors.

“As conditions become more challenging, our spirit must be even stronger. All economic players are now part of Kadin—this is a major strength to face future challenges,” he said.

He also reminded that Bali’s competition is not only at the national level but also global, with destinations such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and the UAE.

“Bali is not only competing with other regions in Indonesia, but with global destinations. However, Bali has advantages in culture, hospitality, and positive energy that other regions do not have,” he added.

Furthermore, Bali Governor I Wayan Koster expressed hope that Kadin will serve as a strategic partner to the government in strengthening connectivity and supporting the recovery of the tourism sector, particularly domestic tourism.

He acknowledged a cumulative decline of around 20 percent in domestic tourist visits as of April 2026, linked to rising air transportation costs. Therefore, synergy between the government, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector is needed to find sustainable solutions.

“We hope for support from various parties to accelerate recovery, including strengthening connectivity and accessibility to Bali,” he concluded.

Also present at the event was Vice Chairman for Organization of Kadin Indonesia, Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko.
