Palu – The Central Sulawesi Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Sulteng) held its 8th Provincial Conference (Musprov VIII) at Grand Sya Hotel, Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Wednesday (20/05/2026).
During the conference, Gufran Ahmad was elected Chairman of Kadin Central Sulawesi Province for the 2026–2031 term.
Vice Chairman Coordinator for Legal and Human Rights Affairs, and Infrastructure of Kadin Indonesia, M. Azis Syamsuddin, who attended on behalf of Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, emphasized the importance of conducting Musprov VIII through deliberation and consensus to uphold unity among business leaders.
Azis also stressed that Kadin is not a political organization and does not represent the interests of any political party. “Kadin has no party affiliation. Our focus is on advancing the economy of Central Sulawesi,” Azis stated.
Meanwhile, newly elected Chairman of Kadin Central Sulawesi Province, Gufran Ahmad, expressed his appreciation to all conference participants, the leadership of Kadin Indonesia, the organizing committee, and all parties who ensured the conference proceeded safely and democratically.
“We would like to thank Kadin Indonesia for overseeing the process of the 8th Provincial Conference of Kadin Central Sulawesi. This is an extraordinary form of appreciation for us. The process was conducted democratically, and Alhamdulillah, I have been entrusted to serve as chairman,” said Gufran.
He affirmed that his leadership would prioritize collaboration, unity, and openness in strengthening the organization and enhancing the role of the business community in Central Sulawesi.
According to him, Kadin, as the umbrella organization for entrepreneurs, must serve as a unifying platform for various business sectors and strengthen cross-sector synergy to drive regional economic growth.
“Collaboration is essential in building a stronger organization. Solidarity and strong relationships will make the organization even better. Kadin Central Sulawesi Province must become a home for entrepreneurs and the wider business community,” he said.
Gufran also paid tribute to the previous management, particularly outgoing Chairman Nur DG. Rahmatu, for his contributions and dedication during the past five years of leadership.
He noted that the achievements attained under the previous leadership would serve as valuable lessons and important capital in bringing Kadin Central Sulawesi Province toward greater progress.
“We express our gratitude to Kakanda Nur Rahmatu for his extraordinary work during his leadership period. What has been built so far is a valuable lesson for us. We hope he will continue to support and guide the organization moving forward,” he concluded.
Also attending the event were Vice Chairman for Organization Affairs of Kadin Indonesia, Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, and Vice Chairman for Membership Affairs of Kadin Indonesia, Widiyanto Saputro.
