Jakarta – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) Anindya Novyan Bakrie said that stronger synergy between the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and Kadin could strengthen economic resilience while encouraging more domestic businesses to grow and move up to a higher level.
Anindya, commonly known as Anin, made the statement at the Investor Gathering and Signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between LPS and Kadin DKI Jakarta, themed “Building Synergy, Strengthening Resilience,” held at the InterContinental Hotel in South Jakarta on Thursday (September 3, 2026).
Anin expressed his appreciation for the commencement of cooperation between LPS and Kadin DKI Jakarta. He said LPS plays an important role in maintaining and strengthening the health of the banking sector, including Rural Banks (BPRs).
“I am very pleased to appreciate and be grateful that the cooperation between LPS and Kadin, which began with Kadin DKI Jakarta, has officially started and is being marked today,” Anin said.
Anin said economic stability cannot be separated from financial stability. Therefore, efforts to strengthen the financial sector require support and involvement from investors.
“Why am I so pleased? Because LPS has a very important role, particularly in strengthening the health of BPRs. This is very important because economic stability starts with financial stability,” he said.
In this context, Anin welcomed Kadin DKI Jakarta’s initiative to establish cooperation with LPS. According to Anin, Kadin has a large ecosystem and extensive supply chain, making collaboration with institutions such as LPS an important complement to efforts to help businesses grow and move up to a higher level.
“Kadin has a broad ecosystem and a large supply chain, and for businesses to move up to a higher level, it would be very comprehensive if we could work together with an institution such as LPS,” Anin said.
Anin also highlighted the importance of increasing investment in Indonesia, which needs to be accompanied by a stronger role for domestic businesses. He said the planned investment target of Rp2,500 trillion could potentially be achieved, but at the same time, the number of domestic entrepreneurs must continue to grow and develop.
“We see that investment growth in Indonesia is positive. The Rp2,500 trillion investment plan appears achievable, but domestic entrepreneurs must also be present, move up to a higher level, and become more numerous,” Anin said.
Anin added that Kadin believes strengthening the business sector must be pursued collectively in the spirit of gotong royong, so that more entrepreneurs can grow and move up to a higher level.
“Kadin believes that there need to be more entrepreneurs, working together in the spirit of gotong royong, so that everyone can move up to a higher level,” he said.
Furthermore, Anin said the cooperation could be developed in various forms. One possibility would be for Kadin members to become bank investors, allowing the ecosystem to also be leveraged to help other businesses within the Kadin community grow.
“Certainly, the idea is how we can help businesses within our ecosystem move forward,” Anin said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Kadin DKI Jakarta Diana Dewi said her organization is seeking to serve as a bridge between policy and the business community through the initiative.
“We see the importance of having a mediator between policymakers and entrepreneurs. In this case, we want our colleagues here today to come together, both investors and LPS,” Diana said.
LPS Board of Commissioners Member for the Deposit Insurance Program and Bank Resolution, Doddy Zulverdi, said the cooperation with Kadin DKI Jakarta is aimed at facilitating prospective investors’ exploration of banks and assets currently being handled by LPS.
“The value of assets still undergoing liquidation is nearly Rp2 trillion. These assets naturally vary in terms of quality, but in essence, their book value is around Rp2 trillion, presenting potential opportunities for entrepreneurs or investors to acquire,” Doddy said.
Doddy emphasized that the cooperation with Kadin DKI Jakarta is not solely intended to offer assets that are currently available. The collaboration is also aimed at establishing long-term coordination with investors.
“So, this is certainly a long-term cooperation because the process of strengthening and improving the health of the banking sector is a long-term process,” he said.
Also attending the event were Kadin Indonesia Deputy Chairman for Organizational Affairs Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Deputy Chairman for Fiscal and Monetary Policy Kamrussamad, and Deputy Chairman for Agriculture Devi Erna Rachmawati.
Also present were several Provincial Kadin Chairpersons, including Chairman of Kadin South Sumatra Affandi Udji, Chairman of Kadin Banten Mohamad Azzari Jayabaya, and Chairman of Kadin Central Java Harry Nuryanto Soediro.
