Jakarta – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, held a meeting with Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Cabinet Secretariat Office in Central Jakarta on Monday (July 27, 2026).
According to the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat (@sekretariat.kabinet), the meeting focused on a number of strategic issues aimed at strengthening synergy between the government and the business community to drive inclusive, competitive, and sustainable economic growth.
The discussion covered efforts to enhance the role of regional entrepreneurs as key drivers of the national economy, develop the electricity, garment, and textile industries, and support Indonesia's downstreaming and national industrialization agenda.
The two sides also discussed the readiness of Indonesia's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem as a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's directive to accelerate the development of a nationally produced electric motorcycle. In addition, they reviewed initiatives to strengthen the EV industry following President Prabowo's recent inauguration of PT VKTR Sakti Industries' electric bus and electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Magelang.
During the meeting, Anindya also introduced the book We Buy From Indonesia.
We Buy From Indonesia illustrates Indonesia's significant role in global supply chains, echoing President Prabowo Subianto's message that Indonesian industries have become an integral part of the world's manufacturing ecosystem.
"This book is filled with data and evidence showing that Indonesian companies have gone global and are trusted by some of the world's leading brands. Around 80 internationally renowned companies and brands source components from Indonesia, including Tesla, IKEA, Uniqlo, and Boeing. Indonesia contributes not only by manufacturing components but also by producing complete products that are then exported," said Anindya, who is widely known as Anin, as quoted on his official Instagram account (@anindyabakrie).
Anin explained that the book had previously been presented to President Prabowo during his visit to France. President Prabowo subsequently handed the book to French President Emmanuel Macron. According to Anin, President Macron praised the publication and requested a special edition featuring prominent French brands.
"The Cabinet Secretary expressed his appreciation for the book and shared valuable feedback. We also had a brief discussion on both the book and several other issues," Anin said.
