Kadin Indonesia China Committee (KIKT) and entrepreneurs provided support to the Indonesian national team in the form of financial support amounting to Rp23 billion. The collection of financial support occurred spontaneously during the KIKT thanksgiving and halalbihalal event which took place in Jakarta on Sunday (28/4/2024).

The fundraising was led by Maruarar Sirait accompanied by KIKT Chairman Garibaldi "Boy" Thohir, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Chairman Arsjad Rasjid and Kadin Deputy Chairperson for Maritime Affairs, Investment and Foreign Affairs Shinta W. Kamdani.

"Do we agree to work together to honour and support our national team? Do you agree? But this is voluntary, there is no compulsion," said Maruarar. "We KIKT must also support those who make us proud, so we start from my group, for the Indonesian national team Rp1 billion." The initiative was joined by a number of businessmen.

The Indonesian national team made new history after advancing to the U-23 Asian Cup semifinals after defeating South Korea on penalties. Indonesia then stayed one step away from being able to participate in the most prestigious multi-event race in the world, the Paris 2024 Olympics. The step that Indonesia must face is against Uzbekistan on Monday (29/4). Olympic tickets can be obtained by the Indonesian national team if they are able to finish the U-23 Asian Cup in the top three positions, or win the inter-confederation playoff match against Guinea which will be played in early May.
