The Idul Fitri holiday has no impact on company productivity. Vice Chairman of Kadin Indonesia For Regional Autonomy Development, Sarman Simanjorang, said that the Eid holiday is a programme and policy that has been informed to businesses. In general, businesses have been able to anticipate by increasing stock during this Eid holiday.
"It does not interfere with the productivity of business actors," said Sarman, Monday (15/4/2024).
As is known, the government gives some leeway for state civil apparatus (ASN) to work from home (WFH) on 16 and 17 April, but for business actors it is not mandatory. This means that everything is returned to the policies of each company. Sarman said, there are many business actors whose workers have started to enter actively on 15 April.
According to him, entrepreneurs do not want the WFH appeal on 16 and 17 April to apply to the business world. This is so as not to reduce the productivity of the business world because in various business sectors not everything can be done through work from home. Many business sectors must involve direct human work such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, and others.
"So the WFH policy on the 16th and 17th is not mandatory for the business world, because we do not want it to interfere with the productivity of the business world," said Sarman.
