The Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) of the Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is expected to be a momentum to maximise economic potential in the region in order to have a positive impact in an inclusive, collaborative and sustainable manner.
Acting Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Yuki Hanafi said, Kadin compiled a road map as a common goal to realise the Golden Indonesia 2045 and become a locomotive to attract regional businesses and MSMEs to develop.
"The empowerment of MSMEs through creating young entrepreneurs and creating jobs needs to be supported. This is a priority for Kadin to help the government tread the journey towards Golden Indonesia 2045," said Yuki at the Rapimprov Kadin Papua event held in Jayapura, Monday (20/11/2023).
On this occasion, Kadin handed over the 2045 Golden Indonesia Roadmap to the Papua Provincial Government. According to Yuki, the Roadmap was created so that the government's efforts, programmes and initiatives can realise the vision of economic development. This map contains concrete steps with metrics as a benchmark for development.
"The preparation of the Roadmap involves friends from various elements, because we want to get input from all parties. Economic power comes from all stakeholders," he said.
Chairman of Kadin Papua, Ronald Antonio, said that the Road Map, which had previously been submitted to President Joko Widodo, would later be submitted to the Regent / City.
"Earlier we gave the Acting Governor of Papua through Plt. Assistant II Setda Papua. We will also share it with the district / city Kadin to be further distributed to the regent / mayor," said Ronald.
Plt. Assistant II Setda Papua, Suzana Wanggai said, all parties must ensure that every step taken provides equitable benefits for all levels of society. Suzana believes that with strong collaboration between the government, the business world and the community, an inclusive and sustainable economic ecosystem can be created.
"Through this Rapimprov, I hope Kadin can be a productive vehicle for sharing ideas and building synergies. In addition, formulating strategic steps to advance Papua and improve the welfare of the Papuan people," he said.
The Rapimprov was held to synergise programmes from the centre to the regions, and optimise the economy according to the potential of each region. Chairman of the Rapimprov Committee of Kadin Papua, Denny Bonai said, this activity lasted for one day. The participants consisted of 18 people from the Regency / City Kadin and 19 people from the Association.
