Tanjungpinang – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, officially inaugurated the management board of Kadin Riau Islands Province (Kepri) for the 2026–2031 term at Aula Wan Seri Beni, Dompak, Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, on Tuesday (June 16, 2026).

Following the inauguration ceremony, themed “The Strategic Role of Kadin in Advancing Regional and National Economic Growth,” Anindya, commonly known as Anin, encouraged the newly appointed board members to further strengthen and develop Kadin Kepri.

“In line with the President’s directive, Kadin must help large businesses grow even larger while enabling small businesses to scale up. Moreover, the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in the Riau Islands is already well-established and can be optimized even further,” Anin said.

Anin explained that Kadin Kepri should play an active role in promoting the province’s FTZ areas to potential investors. This can be achieved by strengthening marketing efforts and conducting broader economic promotion campaigns.

“I fully support Kadin Kepri’s efforts to develop FTZs that deliver broad-based economic benefits,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mustava, Chairman of Kadin Kepri for the 2026–2031 term, stated that the province has become a leading destination for data center investments, creating significant opportunities for the region to emerge as a major economic hub.

“Furthermore, Kadin Kepri’s management structure includes 33 vice chairpersons representing sectors that align with the needs of existing industries. This positions Kadin to continue growing and adapting to future opportunities,” Mustava said.

He also noted that current geopolitical developments have encouraged more investors to direct their investments toward the Riau Islands, particularly within FTZ areas. The region’s streamlined licensing and regulatory processes have become a key attraction for investors.

“We are optimistic that our economy will continue to grow. In addition, we are seeing a steady influx of visitors from neighboring countries, particularly Singapore, with many tourists traveling to Batam every week,” Mustava concluded.

Azis Syamsuddin, Coordinating Vice Chairman for Legal Affairs, Human Rights, and Infrastructure of Kadin Indonesia; Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Vice Chairman for Organization; Widiyanto Saputro, Vice Chairman for Membership Affairs; Andi Yuslim Patawari, Vice Chairman for the Kalimantan Region; Sarman Simanjorang, Vice Chairman for Regional Autonomy; and Akhmad Ma’ruf Maulana, Vice Chairman for Special Economic Zones, Industrial Estates, and National Strategic Projects.
