Jakarta – The Organization, Communication and Regional Empowerment (OKP) Division and the Legal and Human Rights, Facilities and Infrastructure Division of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) called for stronger institutional capacity and improvements to business regulations through a Joint National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) held at Hotel Aryaduta Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Friday (September 11, 2026).

Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, who attended the meeting virtually through a recorded video message, said the Rakornas was expected to produce proposals, decisions, and recommendations that could be brought to Kadin’s National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the end of October 2026. Anin also expressed his appreciation to Deputy Coordinating Chairperson (WKUK) for the OKP Division Erwin Aksa and WKUK for the Legal and Human Rights, Facilities and Infrastructure Division Azis Syamsuddin, who lead their respective divisions.

“I would like to congratulate two capable WKUKs, WKUK OKP Erwin Aksa and WKUK Legal and Human Rights, Facilities and Infrastructure Azis Syamsuddin. Hopefully, this Rakornas can produce good proposals, decisions, and recommendations that we can bring to the Rapimnas at the end of October,” Anindya said.

According to Anin, the results of the Rakornas are also expected to provide input into Kadin’s reform process so that the organization can become stronger, more beneficial, and an integral part of Indonesia’s progress toward Golden Indonesia.

Indonesian Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, who served as the main speaker at the Rakornas, said his ministry was open to input from the business community regarding regulations and company registration, including policies that are still perceived as burdensome by businesses.

“It is a pleasure and an honor for me to be invited by Kadin to speak about regulatory and company registration aspects. We listen and at the same time seek to implement various policies that may still be perceived as burdensome by our friends at Kadin, and we are open to having that dialogue,” Supratman said.

Supratman said Kadin, as a strategic partner of the government, has an important role in strengthening synergy with the Ministry of Law to create a better investment and business climate.

“Because President Prabowo Subianto hopes that the business community will be given protection as well as better regulations,” he said.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Law is ready to strengthen cooperation with Kadin and the entire business ecosystem, including workers, to jointly promote Indonesia’s development.

“That is why I am here and I assure Kadin members that we will stand with entrepreneurs and, of course, work together with the entire ecosystem, including workers, to jointly build Indonesia,” Supratman said.

Meanwhile, Kadin Indonesia WKUK for OKP Erwin Aksa said the joint Rakornas was held at an appropriate time, as Kadin consolidates its organization toward the improvement of Law No. 1 of 1987 on Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

“Strengthening the institution is not merely an administrative effort. It is an essential requirement to ensure that the voice of the business community from Sabang to Merauke can be consolidated into one unified force, in line with our grand vision toward Golden Indonesia 2045,” Erwin said.

Erwin outlined six main agendas that are the focus of the OKP Division. These include strengthening coordination and synergy in work programs between Kadin Indonesia, Provincial Kadin, and Regency/City Kadin, as well as strengthening accountability, performance evaluation, and enforcement of organizational discipline.

In addition, Kadin is promoting stronger leadership integrity and organizational transparency, restructuring the organizational hierarchy and mechanisms for interim replacements, digitizing and validating membership through the administration of Membership Identity Cards (KTA), as well as standardizing Kadin services for its members.

“Institutional strengthening must not stop at improving structures and administration. We must ensure that an increasingly orderly organization also has work programs that are increasingly active, measurable, and provide tangible benefits for members and the business community in the regions,” he said.

According to Erwin, organizational strengthening must also be accompanied by preparations for agendas such as Provincial Leadership Meetings (Rapimprov) and Provincial Conferences (Musprov) that are more structured. Every organizational agenda, he said, must produce clear and actionable outputs.

Kadin will also promote clearer and more measurable performance indicators for Provincial Kadin, ranging from the availability and strengthening of secretariats, completeness of organizational structures, organizational activities and capacity, to the ability to build relationships and synergy with local governments.

“With clear performance indicators, we can see not only whether our organization has been established, but also the extent to which it is active, functioning, and providing benefits,” he said.

Erwin added that Provincial Kadin needs to serve as a stronger link with Regency and City Kadin as well as business associations, so that all business community strengths in the regions can be connected within a single Kadin ecosystem.

Expanding the membership base, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), is also part of the organizational strengthening agenda. According to Erwin, an inclusive membership model with affordable fees is needed to build a broad and measurable membership base.

“We want to build a large, measurable, and monitorable database and membership base, so that we truly know whom we represent, how strong our base is, and how we can provide more targeted services to our members,” he said.

In the area of law and regulations, Kadin Indonesia WKUK for Legal and Human Rights, Facilities and Infrastructure Azis Syamsuddin said the Rakornas served as a forum for exchanging views on corporate regulations and administration, including reporting through the Legal Entity Administration System (SABH).

“We are doing this to provide insights and exchange views with our colleagues regarding SABH and the annual financial reporting carried out based on the proposals and interpretation of the Company Law in relation to Minister of Law Regulation No. 49 of 2025,” Azis said.

One of the issues discussed was the standardization of notary fees for SABH reporting. Azis said certainty regarding fees is needed to ensure that the costs do not burden businesses, particularly micro enterprises and newly developing businesses.

He said discussions on the fees are expected to reach certainty within the next one to two weeks. If the Indonesian Notaries Association has not yet provided certainty regarding the basic tariff, the Minister of Law will consider setting fees based on business classifications.

“If the prices proposed by the Indonesian Notaries Association do not provide certainty regarding the basic tariff for the reporting deed, then the Minister will issue a decree stipulating that the tariff for small business owners, for example, should be Rp500,000 or whatever amount is determined, while a different amount would apply to medium-sized businesses, and so forth,” he said.

The event continued with Panel II, titled “Development Policy and Strengthening the Business Climate,” featuring Director of Strategic and Innovative Financing at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Novie Andriani, Governor of Central Papua Meki Fritz Nawipa, and Kadin Indonesia Deputy Chairperson for National Planning Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono as speakers. The event was subsequently followed by Panel III, which discussed the Kadin Bill, and Session IV, consisting of Kadin’s Internal Plenary Meeting and discussions on the Kadin Bill.

Also attending the event were Kadin Indonesia WKUK for Food Mulyadi Jayabaya, as well as chairpersons, board members, and Executive Directors of Provincial Kadin from across Indonesia.
