Kadin's Regional Coordination Meeting Encourages Economic Growth in Kalimantan and Investment in the capital city, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
The Kalimantan Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorwil) of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) carries the theme "Development Synergy and Strengthening ASEAN Economic Relations in Kalimantan" and a special discussion on the development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).
Feri Rizal, Deputy Chairperson of Kadin Indonesia's Kalimantan Regional Coordinator, said the event was an effort to encourage the collaboration of business participation strategies in regional development initiatives, with a focus on creating shared value. Then identifying effective mechanisms, intact, integration of proposals and suggestions from the private sector in the implementation of development programmes.
"Kadin Indonesia plays a key role in supporting the acceleration of development with a focus on regional investment, especially Kalimantan and inclusive development. The Kalimantan Regional Coordination Meeting is one proof of Kadin's commitment, in facilitating synergy and cooperation between stakeholders, especially in developing IKN and ensuring the involvement of local businesses and positive economic impacts for Kalimantan," he said at the Kalimantan Regional Coordination Meeting in Banjarmasin (12/8/2024).
According to him, Kalimantan has great potential to grow into one of the national economic growth centres by encouraging investment in IKN. Among them are optimising the strategic role of the MSME sector, developing logistics connectivity, and strengthening infrastructure.
"Kadin and the government must work together to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This Rakorwil is an opportunity to arrange the future prospects of Kalimantan, which is also the gateway to IKN," he said.
