Hundreds of Yogyakarta Millennials Join Business Motivation with Kadin DIY and Ajik Krisna

The Yogyakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) provided business motivation to hundreds of millennials through an event titled “Talking about Business Progress in the Creative Economy Sector and Digital Business with Ajik Krisna” in Mantrijeron, Thursday (30/5/2024).

Deputy Chairman of Kadin DIY Wawan Harmawan said that in the discussion, his party invited organizations and communities of young entrepreneurs to find out more details about Ajik Krisna's role and work in the world of creative economy. According to him, there are many things that can be explored, especially related to improving the quality and income of MSMEs in the digital era.

“Krisna souvenir center is known to be quite selective in choosing products, so the MSMEs that enter and are sold there must be really good and quality,” said Wawan.

According to Wawan, there are many things that must be considered by MSME players so that their products can be upgraded. Apart from quality, the appearance of the product and also the display when displayed at outlets must also be considered. This is to add a premium impression to the product and some of these things have not dared to be applied optimally by Yogya MSME players.

“We hope that the presence of Krisna Nusantara in Yogya will maximize the quality of DIY MSMEs. Their value will also be raised, because so far the products sold at Krisna are definitely more upscale,” explained Wawan.

As one of the souvenir entrepreneurs from Bali, Ajik Krisna who claimed to have received direct orders from the Minister of Tourism and the President of the Republic of Indonesia to participate in advancing the national creative economy climate, especially in the MSME sector. The souvenir business he started in Bali was a great success by promoting local MSMEs and is expected to be disseminated to other regions.

“We have received orders from the Minister of Tourism and the President to develop MSMEs in 10 Indonesian tourist destinations,” he said.

According to Ajik, the characteristics of the people and culture of Yogya are almost similar to Bali, so in the near future Krisna Nusantara souvenir center will be established in Yogya.

“The location is in Malioboro, a total of 183 MSMEs and 110 human resources have joined Krisna Nusantara and on May 31, 2024 we will officially launch it,” he said.

Ajik said, for three months after the launch, his party will conduct a comprehensive evaluation. If the business performance reaches the target, it is possible that there will be additional MSMEs included in the souvenir center.

“Later, of course, Krisna Nusantara will be filled with products, ornaments and nuances typical of Yogya. The products have all been curated and our hope is that Yogya MSMEs can be more upscale,” he concluded.
