Referring to the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Number 6 of 2022 on the National Strategy for Vocational Education and Vocational Training, Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) is one of the mechanisms in the vocational education and training revitalisation programme.

Considering the importance of understanding Vocational Cost and Benefit Analysis (CBA), BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and TSR GIZ conducted a Vocational Cost and Benefit Analysis Training of Trainers involving Kadin Indonesia, in Bogor (24/4/2024). This training is aimed at increasing industry involvement in vocational development and providing a real picture for industry regarding the costs and benefits of implementing vocational education and training.

Chairman of the Committee for M / I and Industry Cooperation of Kadin Indonesia, Masbukhin said, it is hoped that from this vocational CBA training, policymakers, educational institutions, and industry can make more informed decisions about resource allocation and education strategies. This approach helps ensure that vocational programmes are designed to deliver optimal value to participants and industry, and support sustainable economic and workforce development.

Masbukhin said in his speech that the CBA Vocational training should not only stop at large companies. Therefore, this knowledge needs to be passed on to the participant's partner companies which are usually at the medium to small level, so that the vocational ecosystem can spread more widely to many other companies.

In addition to Masbukhin, the opening of the CBA Vocation activity was attended by Chaerul Saleh - Assistant Deputy of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Wulan Apriyanti - Head of the Vocational Training Development Centre of the Ministry of Industry, and Rudy Djumali - Senior Advisor TSR GIZ.
