The Green Building Working Group – a collaboration between the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI), the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN), and the Green Finance Institute (GFI) Indonesia – is committed to translating Indonesia’s green building policy ambition into bankable, investable practice.
A recurring barrier identified through the Working Group’s forums and discussions is that developers and building owners with credible sustainability credentials often lack a direct channel to banks offering green financing products, while banks with active green loan or Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) portfolios often lack visibility into a pipeline of eligible, investment-ready projects. To close this gap, the Working Group will convene a Matchmaking Meeting – a structured session bringing together building owners/developers and participating banks. The session will give banks the opportunity to present their green financing products, spanning instruments such as Green Loans, Sustainability-Linked Loans (SLLs), green mortgages, and unsecured green loans, with the goal of generating qualified leads for green financing transactions.
