This is what Entrepreneurs Say about the State Revenue Authority Agency

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) asked the government to be careful in realising the plan to establish a State Revenue Authority Agency because it will affect the country's financial management system.

Vice Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for Fiscal and Public Policy, Suryadi Sasmita said that a state revenue authority separate from the Ministry of Finance is not a simple thing. The management of state finances by two separate institutions has the potential to create challenges in terms of synchronisation.

"If the institutions are different, it will not be as easy to synchronise them," said Suryadi.

According to him, the establishment of the State Revenue Authority Agency is feared to cause the management of state finances to be disproportionate. In this case, state spending has the potential to be greater without considering the burden of the state revenue authority.

As previously known, the plan to establish a State Revenue Authority Agency was written in the Initial Draft of the Government Work Plan (RKP) 2025. The establishment of the State Revenue Authority Agency is considered to increase the tax ratio so that the state budget can provide adequate spending space for the implementation of development in order to realise the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
