Bandar Lampung - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held the Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) of Kadin Lampung, themed "Strengthening the Role of the Business Sector in Driving Inclusive and Competitive Regional Economic Growth." The event took place at the Multipurpose Hall of Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung, on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, emphasized the importance of optimism in facing the future, particularly in the context of achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
“All of us here must strive to learn well and look to the future with optimism. Don’t be swayed by negativity, especially from what we see on social media which is not always true. We must remain focused and optimistic as we look ahead to Golden Indonesia 2045. That’s only 20 years from now,” said Anindya, who is fondly known as Anin.
Anin highlighted that the business sector must be prepared to navigate three major transformations that will shape the trajectory of the national economy: the energy transition, the rise of the digital and artificial intelligence (AI) industries, and food security.
According to Anin, the shift from fossil fuels to green energy will be the most significant change in the next two decades. Indonesia, he noted, holds great potential in renewable energy resources.
“Green energy is inexhaustible unlike oil and coal. It’s also becoming increasingly affordable and can be harnessed from the sun, seawater, wind, and geothermal sources. This aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s focus on energy security, with early steps even being taken toward nuclear energy,” he explained.
In addition to energy, Anin also discussed the digital revolution, particularly the advancement of AI. While AI will transform many aspects of life, he underscored that humans will continue to play a crucial role in decision-making.
“Don’t be afraid of being replaced by AI; instead, be wary of those who know how to use it effectively. Machines aren’t the threat what matters is our ability to leverage them,” Anin stated firmly.
The third transformation Anin addressed was food security. He pointed out that the food and agricultural sectors are becoming increasingly critical, as they are tied to basic human needs and national resilience.
“The current government is giving people fishing rods, not fish. This means encouraging society to become job creators, not just job seekers. There’s nothing wrong with becoming an employee or civil servant—but we must also aim to create jobs,” he concluded.
On the same occasion, Chairman of Kadin Lampung Province, Muhammad Kadafi, called on young people to shift their mindset from job-seeking to job-creating.
“Today, we must begin preparing ourselves—rethinking our goals. Don’t just dream of becoming employees. We must transform from workers into entrepreneurs,” Kadafi said.
He added that this year's Rapimprov was notable for involving young people with high enthusiasm to contribute to the nation.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity, as you (young people) are being mentored directly by the Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Novyan Bakrie. Hopefully, from Lampung, many future Anindyas will emerge—bringing the name of Lampung to the national stage,” Kadafi affirmed.
Also in attendance at the opening ceremony were several members of the Kadin Indonesia executive board, including Nita Yudi (Vice Chair for Social Affairs), Widiyanto Saputro (Vice Chair for Membership), Ardiansyah (Vice Chair for the Press and Mass Media Industry), Teguh Anantawikrama (Vice Chair for MSME Technology Transformation and Digitalization), Buchari Bachter (Chairman of Kadin West Sumatra), and Pipin Moh. Saiful Arifin (Executive Director of Kadin Indonesia). Representing the Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, was Head of the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Evie Fatmawaty.
