Kadin Southeast Sulawesi Holds Audience with Kadin Indonesia to Discuss Strategic Projects in North Kolaka Regency

Jakarta - The Infrastructure and Regional Development Division of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) received a delegation from Kadin Southeast Sulawesi Province at the Kadin Tower, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/10/2025).

Budi Amin, Executive Director of Kadin Southeast Sulawesi, said the meeting served as a platform for communication and coordination between central and regional Kadin to accelerate strategic development projects in Southeast Sulawesi, particularly in North Kolaka Regency.

During the meeting, the Southeast Sulawesi delegation formally presented several plans for regional infrastructure and industrial development to Kadin Indonesia.

“What we presented today includes a strategic regional project in North Kolaka Regency, notably the development of an airport,” said Budi.

“The second item concerns the potential development of palm oil processing industries and a cocoa processing plant. We hope Kadin Indonesia can facilitate support for the local government of North Kolaka and Southeast Sulawesi more broadly regarding these strategic projects,” he added.

Budi also mentioned that this initiative would eventually extend beyond North Kolaka to other regencies in Southeast Sulawesi with similar economic and investment potential.

“Today we brought North Kolaka Regency, but in the coming days we aim to include other regencies such as Konawe, South Konawe, and South Buton. They have already registered with Kadin Southeast Sulawesi for similar facilitation with the WKU Coordinator for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Carmelita Hartoto,” Budi explained.

As a follow-up, an integrated task force will be formed, involving Kadin Indonesia, the North Kolaka local government, and Kadin Southeast Sulawesi.

The team will be responsible for developing strategic steps, conducting technical assessments, and ensuring that the proposed priority projects are implemented in accordance with regulations and plans.

“We will follow up by forming a task force involving Kadin Indonesia, the North Kolaka local government, and Kadin Southeast Sulawesi,” Budi concluded.
