Semarang - The Central Java Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a Halalbihalal and Silaturahmi gathering under the theme “Kadin Together Towards a More Advanced Indonesia,” which took place at Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention, Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday (April 16, 2026).
In his remarks, Chairman of Central Java Kadin, Harry Nuryanto Soediro, stated that the Halalbihalal event serves as an important momentum to strengthen ties among members while reinforcing unity in developing the business sector in Central Java.
“This Halalbihalal serves as a gathering for the extended family of Central Java Kadin and as an expression of gratitude for the journey of Central Java Kadin thus far,” said Harry.
Furthermore, he expressed appreciation to the Central Java Provincial Government for its continued support and policies that drive business growth.
“Central Java Kadin is committed to continuing to synergize with and support government programs, including efforts to alleviate poverty in the region,” he added.
Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Lutfi called on Kadin to take an active role and collaborate in addressing extreme poverty in the province.
“We ask Kadin to step forward. Combating poverty cannot be limited to clothing, food, and housing alone. It also involves healthcare and education. We must tackle this together,” he emphasized.
He also stressed that poverty alleviation cannot be addressed partially, but must be carried out comprehensively and in an integrated manner.
“We must improve housing, ensure food security, provide healthcare, and educate the children. Everything must move forward together,” he added.
Furthermore, he highlighted several strategic programs of the Central Java Provincial Government, including the renovation of 17,000 uninhabitable houses (RTLH) in 2025, as well as the Mobile Specialist Doctor Program (Dokter Speling), which delivers healthcare services directly to villages.
He also encouraged the optimization of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs by Kadin and business actors to support people living in extreme poverty across all regencies and cities in Central Java.
“CSR should be utilized to help those living in extreme poverty in our region. If we do not work on this collectively, Central Java will remain stagnant,” he concluded.
