Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) to collaborate on accelerating digital transformation efforts.
The signing ceremony took place at the Kadin Tower in South Jakarta on Thursday (August 21, 2025).
Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie emphasized the importance of this partnership in creating synergy between the business sector and an efficient government bureaucracy.
“Many people ask, what’s the connection between Kadin and the Ministry of PANRB? For businesses to thrive and attract investment, they need the full support of the government—especially one that is efficient, productive, and forward-looking. That’s exactly what the Ministry of PANRB is working on,” said Anindya, who is commonly known as Anin.
Anin explained that the digital transformation goals pursued by the Ministry of PANRB align closely with Kadin’s national priorities, including investment, downstream industry development, food security, healthcare, and education.
“In the end, the goal is poverty reduction. This collaboration is not just about digital transformation within PANRB, but also within Kadin—whose network reaches all the way to the regency and municipal levels,” he added.
Minister of PANRB, Rini Widyantini, stated that digital transformation is a key component in strengthening public sector governance.
“Today, we are establishing a partnership with Kadin on digital transformation. The Ministry of PANRB carries a major responsibility in governance reform, one of which is building digital transformation. We also chair the coordination for Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE) and are part of the Government’s Digital Transformation Committee,” Rini explained.
She noted that this collaboration with Kadin will help accelerate the delivery of public services and provide greater ease for both citizens and businesses.
“Our ultimate goal is to simplify public services, and one of the most effective ways to achieve that is through digital transformation. Through this collaboration with Kadin, we can support one another and move forward together,” she affirmed.
Teguh Anantawikrama, Kadin Indonesia’s Vice Chairman for Technology Transformation, MSMEs, and Digital Affairs, noted that the first step in this collaboration will be the formation of a joint working group between Kadin and the Ministry of PANRB.
“This will allow us to identify which areas Kadin can support, particularly in improving business processes across ministries. Right now, the core issue is that each ministry operates with different processes. This is where Kadin can contribute, as many of our members have expertise in information technology—skills that can help refine the government’s digital transformation plans,” Teguh explained.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Zaky, Kadin Indonesia’s Vice Chairman for Organizational Transformation and Digitalization, emphasized that this partnership goes beyond the adoption of technology—it also involves the development of adaptive policy ecosystems.
“This MoU represents a spirit of cross-sector collaboration to build more efficient, streamlined, and transparent public services. For us at Kadin, digital transformation is not just about deploying technology, but about shaping a policy ecosystem that is responsive to the needs of businesses, from the central government to the local level,” Zaky concluded.
