Kadin and Lemhannas Sign MoU to Prepare National Retreat at the Military Academy to Foster Entrepreneurial Patriots

Jakarta – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), in collaboration with the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) titled “Building National Resilience Based on the Business Sector” at the Kadin Indonesia Tower in South Jakarta on Friday, June 13, 2025.

This MoU marks a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening national resilience through the development of human capital and the active engagement of the business community.

Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Novyan Bakrie, stated that this collaboration seeks to nurture Indonesian entrepreneurs who are not only economically resilient but also possess a strong spirit of nationalism.

“We aim to cultivate entrepreneurs who are also patriots, and patriots who are also entrepreneurs,” said Anindya, who is commonly known as Anin.

Anin further emphasized that Kadin upholds the values of perseverance, integrity, and loyalty as the foundation of the national business ethos.

“Perseverance reflects our optimism, integrity reflects transparency and professionalism, and loyalty reflects our unwavering commitment to the Red and White,” he explained.

According to Anin, the partnership will focus on three main areas. First, improving the quality of human resources through education and programs that reinforce national values. Second, the exchange of information, expert resources, and the development and dissemination of academic studies. Third, other relevant and flexible initiatives tailored to the needs of both parties.

Anin also revealed plans for a joint retreat between Kadin and Lemhannas to be held in Magelang from August 8–10, 2025.

He expressed hope that the retreat would strengthen the spirit of nationalism and result in concrete policy recommendations, particularly in the areas of deregulation, investment, trade, and employment.

“We envision this retreat not just as a platform for presenting problems, but for proposing solutions,” Anin explained.

He also stressed the importance of achieving efficiency without compromising job creation.

“Efficiency must not come at the expense of employment opportunities,” Anin asserted.

On this occasion, Anin also highlighted Kadin’s four “quick wins” programs aligned with national policy directions: participation in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, protection and empowerment of migrant workers, provision of affordable housing, and access to free health check-up services.

“These initiatives are clear proof of Kadin’s role as a strategic partner of the government,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Governor of Lemhannas RI, Ace Hasan Syadzily, welcomed the collaboration. He emphasized that cooperation between the business sector and state institutions is essential in addressing global challenges, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence and technological disruption.

“We need strong ‘software’—strong mental resilience—because many things can be replaced, but not the human spirit,” Ace remarked.

He affirmed Lemhannas’s commitment to integrating all elements of national leadership, including business leaders, into a shared national vision.

“This nation will become stronger when all leadership components are united and move in the same direction,” he said.

Ace also expressed Lemhannas’s readiness to support the retreat and educational initiatives for Kadin members.

“We are pleased to welcome this initiative and are fully prepared to participate further, including involving Lemhannas alumni who are now part of Kadin,” Ace concluded.

Also attending the event were KADIN Indonesia Vice Chair Coordinators Dyah Anita Prihapsari (Nita Yudi) for Social Affairs, Carmelita Hartoto for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and Juan Permata Adoe for Export Development, along with Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), Akbar Himawan Buchari.
