Meeting with Lemhannas, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia Proposes Entrepreneur Retreat in Magelang

Jakarta – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, held an audience with the Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas RI), Ace Hasan Syadzily, at the Lemhannas Office in Central Jakarta on Thursday (June 5, 2025).

The meeting focused on strengthening national resilience through economic development and the strategic role of the business sector.

“We discussed national resilience through the lens of economic development. At Kadin, we seek input, guidance, and most importantly, collaboration with Lemhannas,” said Anindya, commonly known as Anin.

According to Anin, the collaboration between Kadin and Lemhannas has been positive so far, but there is room for expansion. One idea discussed was the plan to organize a business leader retreat in Magelang in early August 2025.

“We are planning a retreat in Magelang, with the curriculum developed by Lemhannas. The aim is to shape entrepreneurs into entrepreneurial patriots—business leaders not solely driven by profit but also rooted in nationalism and social responsibility,” Anin explained.

He added that Kadin is ready to contribute by providing speakers and human resources to support the program. He also emphasized the business community’s role in driving Indonesia’s economic growth towards President Prabowo Subianto’s target of 8% GDP growth.

“We need to create new jobs, boost purchasing power, and strengthen the national economy, which ultimately supports national resilience. In today’s volatile global landscape, insights from Lemhannas on geopolitical developments are crucial, as they directly affect trade and investment,” he said.

Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily welcomed Kadin’s initiative and reaffirmed the institution’s readiness to strengthen collaboration.

“Kadin holds a strategic position in enhancing national resilience. The private sector is key in creating jobs, increasing economic value, and supporting the core pillars of our nation,” said Ace.

He stated that the proposed retreat is highly relevant in shaping business leaders who embody values of nationalism and patriotism.

“This is the moment to turn global challenges—such as trade wars and interstate rivalries—into opportunities for Indonesia’s economic advancement,” he added.

Ace also emphasized that the partnership between Lemhannas and Kadin is not new. The institution has long contributed to developing national leadership among business actors, and the collaboration will be deepened further.

“Business is not just about profit. It is one of the essential pillars in nation-building,” Ace concluded.

The meeting was also attended by several Kadin leaders, including Carmelita Hartoto, Coordinator Vice Chair for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Dyah Anita Prihapsari (Nita Yudi), Coordinator Vice Chair for Social Affairs, Azis Syamsuddin, Coordinator Vice Chair for Law, Human Rights, and Public Infrastructure, Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Vice Chair for Organization, Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, Vice Chair for National Planning, Widyanto Saputro, Vice Chair for Membership and a 2023 alumnus of the Lemhannas National Leadership Program (PPRA), Buchari Bachter, Chairman of Kadin West Sumatra Province, and Jackson Kumaat, Kadin leader from North Sulawesi Province.
